The small coastal town of Figueres, just north of Barcelona, is known for only one thing - Salvador Dalí. Though the artist's fame brought him to more glamorous parts of Spain, near the end of his career, Dalí returned to his hometown to began building his greatest masterpiece.
Irène Halsman is the daughter of Philippe Halsman, famous photographer and friend of Salvador Dalí. On July 12th 2016, accompanied by her son Oliver, she visited our exhibition and gave us an interview about how some of the portraits her father took of Dalí. This video is a valuable document to understand the exhibition and the relationship of both artists.
