Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy — CETV Network Inc.
Effective: September 16, 2025
TL;DR
• We collect only what we need to run our sites, personalize content, and communicate with you.
• You control your data: access, delete, correct, opt out of sale/share/targeted ads, and limit sensitive data.
• We don’t sell personal information for money. We may “share” data for ads or analytics; you can opt
out.
• We honor applicable optnout preference signals (e.g., Global Privacy Control) where required.
• EU/UK visitors: we rely on consent, contract, and legitimate interests, and use SCCs for transfers.
• We keep data only as long as needed, secure it, and disclose only to service providers or when required
by law.
1. Scope & Entities
This Policy applies to CETV Network Inc. and our magazine websites: Resort & Travel Magazine, Cruise
& Spa Magazine, and What’s In Magazine (collectively, “we,” “us,” or “CETV”). It covers personal
information (“PI”) collected online and offline from visitors, subscribers, contributors, and business
contacts who use our websites, apps, forms, or services (the “Services”). If any site posts
productnspecific notices, those control over this Policy for that product or feature.
2. Controller & Contact
CETV Network Inc., Florida, USA, is the controller of your PI. Contact our privacy team at
privacy@resortandtravel.com. If you reside in the EEA/UK, CETV is the data controller for GDPR/UK
GDPR purposes. If and when an EU/UK representative is required under Article 27, we will publish those
details here.
3. Categories of PI We Collect (Notice at Collection)
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories: (A) Identifiers (name,
email, IP, device IDs); (B) Customer records (billing name, address; last 4 digits from your payment
provider); (C) Commercial info (purchases, subscriptions); (D) Internet/Network activity (pages viewed,
referral, session analytics, cookie IDs); (E) Geolocation (coarse IPnderived location); (F) Inferences
(interests for content); (G) Audio/visual content you submit (e.g., photos, testimonials); (H) Professional
or education info if you provide it for features like contributor profiles; (I) Sensitive PI only if you
voluntarily provide it (e.g., precise location for a travel request). We do not seek sensitive PI. Do not
submit it unless necessary for a feature.
4. Sources
We collect PI directly from you (forms, email, contests), automatically via cookies/SDKs/analytics, from
thirdnparty partners (e.g., payment processors, email providers), and—where permitted—public or
commercial sources (social media handles, ad/analytics networks).
5. Purposes of Use (and GDPR/UK GDPR Legal Bases)
We use PI to: (a) provide and secure the Services; (b) process payments and subscriptions; (c) personalize
content and remember preferences; (d) communicate with you (customer support, newsletters,
transactional alerts); (e) measure and improve performance; (f) detect, prevent, and investigate fraud,
abuse, and security incidents; (g) comply with law; (h) run promotions; (i) show ads, measure ad
performance, and conduct analytics. Legal bases: contract performance; legitimate interests (site security,
analytics, minimal personalization, B2B outreach); consent (cookies, marketing emails, certain
ads/analytics); legal obligations (tax, accounting, requests from authorities). You may withdraw consent
at any time without affecting prior processing.
6. Cookies, Analytics & Online Advertising
We use cookies and similar tech (pixels, SDKs, local storage) for authentication, preferences, analytics,
and advertising. You can manage consent via our cookie banner (where shown) and your browser
settings. Blocking cookies may degrade features. Some analytics/ads partners process limited PI to help
us understand usage or deliver/measure ads. See “Your Choices” to opt out of sale/share/targeted
advertising. We respond to required optnout preference signals (e.g., Global Privacy Control) as an
optnout of sale/share in applicable jurisdictions.
7. “Sale,” “Share,” and Targeted Advertising (U.S. State Laws)
We do not sell PI for money. We may “share” PI (as defined by California law) for crossncontext
behavioral advertising or engage in targeted advertising under other state laws. You can opt out at any
time using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link or the optnout mechanism in our
footer, and via device settings and platform controls.
8. Sensitive Personal Information
We do not use or disclose sensitive PI to infer characteristics or for purposes beyond those allowed by
law. If a feature needs sensitive PI (e.g., precise location for itinerary accuracy), we will obtain consent
(where required) and restrict use.
9. Retention
We keep PI only as long as necessary for the purposes above, considering the amount, nature, and
sensitivity of the data, legal/ tax/accounting requirements, and risk. When no longer needed, we delete or
denidentify PI. Typical ranges: account/contact data (for the account life + up to 3 years); transactional
records (up to 7 years to satisfy tax/audit laws); analytics logs (90 days to 2 years, aggregated sooner).
10. Disclosures to Third Parties
We disclose PI to: service providers/processors (hosting, analytics, email, payments, customer support);
affiliates; advertising/measurement partners (for limited, disclosed purposes); professional advisors; law
enforcement/regulators (when required or to protect rights); and potential acquirers in a merger or asset
sale. Service providers are bound by contract to use PI only to provide services to us.
11. International Data Transfers
We operate in the United States and may transfer PI internationally. For EEA/UK transfers, we rely on
approved safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses with supplementary measures). By using the
Services, you understand your PI may be processed in countries with different data protection standards.
12. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk (access controls,
encryption in transit, network monitoring, backups, staff training). No system is 100% secure. You are
responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your account credentials.
13. Your Rights (EEA/UK)
If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object (including to
direct marketing), and data portability, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a
complaint with your local supervisory authority. We will respond within one month or explain any need
to extend.
14. Your Rights (U.S. States, incl. CA/VA/CO/CT/UT/OR/TX/MT/DE/NJ/IA/TN)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to: know/access specific pieces; correct; delete; receive a
portable copy; opt out of sale/share/targeted advertising and certain profiling; limit the use/disclosure of
sensitive PI (CA); and appeal a refusal. Submit a request via the methods in “How to Exercise Your
Choices.” If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email.
15. How to Exercise Your Choices
Submit privacy requests or appeals to privacy@resortandtravel.com. We will verify your identity using
your email and, if needed, additional information. Authorized agents: in California, an agent may submit
a request with a signed authorization or proof of power of attorney; we may still require you to verify
your identity directly. Marketing emails: unsubscribe via the footer link. Cookies/ads: use the consent
banner, browser/device settings, and platform ad settings; see also the “Do Not Sell or Share” link (where
required).
16. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect PI from them. If you
believe a child provided PI, contact us and we will delete it.
17. Automated DecisionnMaking & Profiling
We do not engage in solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about
you. We may use limited profiling for content personalization and advertising, subject to your choices and
applicable law.
